After being called “more annoying than ever” by Jennifer Lawrence, Kourtney Kardashian reveals she is ready to treat the actress like a sister—literally.
When Kourtney Kardashian received an email from Jennifer Lawrence addressing a public dig, she didn’t fire back with legal threats or a PR statement. Instead, she started thinking about how she handles disagreements within her own family.
Last November, during a lie detector test, the 36-year-old Oscar winner set her sights on the 47-year-old reality star. Lawrence labeled Kardashian “more annoying than ever,” specifically pointing to her behavior in season seven of *The Kardashians*. Lawrence’s critique was centered on the show’s production style: “Everything has to be an announcement. ‘I’m not gonna wear outfits anymore.’ Just wear whatever you want. Don’t make an announcement about it. Or, ‘I don’t have a TV in my room.’ Just don’t watch TV. Stop announcing it.”.
For Kardashian, the timing of the comment stung. During the premiere of season eight on October 8. she confided in her friend Simon Huck that the email arrived during a particularly difficult week. “It was also a sensitive week when she sent it,” Kardashian noted. “I felt like our show was airing and everybody was ganging up on me.”.
Despite the initial tension, Kardashian viewed the interaction through a lens of familiarity. Lawrence had written in her email. “I just feel like I’m one of your sisters.” Upon rewatching the viral clip. Kardashian’s perspective shifted. “I was like, ‘Oh, it’s not that bad actually,’” she told Huck.
Lawrence has long been a fixture in the Kardashian-Jenner orbit. even maintaining a close enough relationship that Kris Jenner attended her 2019 wedding to Cooke Maroney. It is that proximity that led Kardashian to decide on a unique, physical form of reconciliation. Referring back to her infamous. explosive 2020 fight with her sister Kim. Kardashian joked. “I said to my mom. ‘OK. she thinks she’s one of my sisters. I’ll f—king slap the s—t out of her.’”.
Although Kardashian has yet to send a formal response to the “so nice” email. she seems ready to move past the critique with a dose of humor. “I’ll just say. ‘Next time you wanna come over. we can go at it. Kourtney and Kim style. ’” she said. offering a tongue-in-cheek invitation to settle their differences in true Kardashian fashion.
