Tyson Fury’s next opponent is set to be revealed this week, promoter Frank Warren has told Sky Sports. do,” Warren told Sky Sports on Sunday. “So keep watching this space, and it’ll be a good opponent – it’ll be good for him. He can’t afford to slip up, because obviously AJ’s got his fight in a few weeks’ time. “[Joshua’s] got to come through that, Tyson has to come through his, and then the big one will be in November.” Warren also confirmed that a top-10 ranked opponent would be unveiled for up and coming heavyweight Moses Itauma, who is tipped as a
contender in waiting for a world title shot. “Moses [Itauma] is fighting up in Manchester, we’re going to announce it. “He’s fighting a top 10 heavyweight, we expect to get the fight we want to make over the line. So the opponent is being revealed this week but also “next week”?? Sounds like they’re not sure yet. Also if Fury has to come through then AJ has to come through, like that’s somehow different… boxing politics is wild.
Moses Itauma fighting a top-10 guy in Manchester sounds cool, but why not just put him in there with AJ/Fury already? This division is “on fire” every month though, feels like the same storyline. Also Tottenham Hotspur Stadium… I swear I saw that fight clip on my feed and it was only like 30 seconds.
