While the ESPN App will continue to host Monday Night Football games and Super Bowl-related programming domestically. the push onto the Disney+ platform reflects a broader strategy to centralize sports viewing. The sheer scale of such a broadcast is underscored by recent history; when the 2026 Super Bowl aired on NBC and streamed on Peacock from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara. it drew 125 million viewers globally. peaking at 137 million.

To manage the massive influx of coverage. ESPN plans to anchor its pre-game operations at a purpose-built hub on Santa Monica Beach. Outside of the United States. ESPN’s linear platforms will carry the broadcast in more than 130 countries and territories. ensuring the signal reaches a truly global audience.
