Colts Return to Practice With Sauce Gardner, Anthony Gould at Full Capacity
The Indianapolis Colts returned to the practice field on Thursday at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center following a Wednesday walkthrough, providing an encouraging health update as they ramp up preparations for a crucial Week 8 AFC South divisional clash against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Several prominent players who had been limited participants during Wednesday’s session elevated their status to full participants on Thursday. Among them are cornerback Sauce Gardner, who is managing a calf injury, and wide receiver Anthony Gould, who has been working through concussion protocols. Guard Matt Goncalves, dealing with an ankle issue, and defensive tackle Tim Smith, also nursing an ankle injury, similarly practiced in full.

Additional full participants on Thursday included linebackers CJ Allen and Akeem Davis-Gaither, alongside punter Rigoberto Sanchez. Allen is managing an ankle injury, Davis-Gaither is recovering from a hand injury, and Sanchez is listed with a foot issue.
Meanwhile, other roster members continued to manage physical limitations. Tight ends Tyler Warren and Drew Ogletree remained limited participants for the second consecutive day, with Warren managing a groin injury and Ogletree dealing with a knee issue.
On the recovery front, linebacker Bryce Boettcher and cornerback Justin Walley remained sidelined from practice entirely. Boettcher has now missed a full week of practice due to a groin injury, while Walley was kept off the field with a knee injury as the team monitors its depth ahead of Sunday’s divisional road trip.
