It has been more than two decades since the 53-year-old host concluded his initial run on the series. which captivated audiences from its 1998 premiere until his departure in 2003. While the atmosphere promises a trip back to the peak of the countdown era. the broadcast will not be found on its original network. Instead, the project is headed to Roku, with an expected premiere slated for 2027. A specific release date remains under wraps.
Daly is steering the ship behind the scenes as well, co-producing the special with the show’s original creator, Tony DiSanto. Following the end of the original run in 2008 and a brief. separate revival attempt from 2017 to 2019. the brand is finding new life in the streaming ecosystem.
