Ann Michael Maye proved to be a major draw at a local grocery store as more than 1,000 people waited in line to meet her during her first public appearance. Patriots fans turned out in large numbers for the event at Market Basket in North Andover, Massachusetts, on Friday. This high turnout reflects the significant public interest generated by her online presence, particularly through her down-to-earth nature and holiday baking series. Two women told reporters they stood in line for four hours before the event was scheduled to begin, while others traveled from Connecticut and Maine.
Ann Michael Maye has a one-year partnership with Olivia’s Organics, a company that sells organic produce nationally, and the grocery store appearance also gave fans a chance to learn healthy recipes. Approximately 1,200 people ultimately showed up to meet the 23-year-old, who commands a following of 582,000 users on Instagram. Due to the massive turnout, she stayed an extra half hour to answer questions from fans who brought items for her to autograph, though only a few hundred attendees were able to meet her directly.
The public frenzy surrounding the grocery store promotion coincides with an upturn in performance for the Patriots and Drake Maye following an initial 1-2 start. New England secured consecutive victories against the division rival Bills and the Raiders, scoring 45 points in the latter matchup.
