Delhi Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh Orders Road Repairs and Lighting Upgrades

Delhi PWD Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh ordered the re-carpeting of Rohtak Road and other infrastructure fixes during a joint on-site inspection across Central and West Delhi.

Delhi PWD Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh ordered the re-carpeting of Rohtak Road, a lighting and cleanliness overhaul beneath the Rani Jhansi Flyover, and drain desilting at Zakhira during a ‘Government on Wheels’ inspection across Central and West Delhi.

Officials from the Public Works Department, Delhi Jal Board, Irrigation and Flood Control, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, and local district administrations traveled with the minister on a single bus. The group stopped at designated locations along a route spanning from Panchkuiyan Road to Shankar Road to assess local problems and establish immediate accountability. Shopkeepers, commuters, and residents raised their concerns directly with the minister at several stops.

Reflecting on the approach during the tour, Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh stated that residents require functional infrastructure rather than speeches, noting that joint departmental inspections allow solutions to be determined on-site. Officials have been directed to return to the inspected locations to verify completed work as part of the accountability framework.

Launched last year, the ‘Government on Wheels’ initiative brings multiple municipal and utility departments together for coordinated field inspections following previous phases in East, Outer, Rural, and South Delhi. A follow-up review regarding Saturday’s directives is scheduled to take place within a month, and these inspection tours will continue across the city.
