Victor Wembanyama Excluded From Six Flags Rides Due to Height Limits

San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama has discovered a realm where his exceptional stature works against him: the amusement park roller coaster. At 7-foot-4, the towering center revealed to reporters that he was unable to join his teammates on rides during a weekend trip to Six Flags.

The outing took place last Sunday at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, where videos shared across social media captured Wembanyama alongside teammates including Dylan Harper and Stephon Castle. While the rest of the roster enjoyed the park’s attractions, the league’s dominant rim protector had to sit the rides out due to amusement park safety regulations.

“I can’t do it safely, so I’d rather not do it,” Wembanyama told reporters on Monday. “I didn’t pass the height requirement.”

The theme park visit served as the latest bonding excursion for the Spurs during the offseason. Earlier in the summer, Wembanyama and his teammates traveled to Paris for joint training sessions as part of their preparation for the upcoming campaign.

The off-court camaraderie comes on the heels of a stellar individual and collective run. Wembanyama led the NBA in blocks for the third consecutive campaign last season, a dominant defensive display that earned him his first Defensive Player of the Year award while also propelling the Spurs to the NBA Finals.

Wembanyama and the Spurs will look to translate that momentum into the new year as they prepare to tip off their regular season schedule on Tuesday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
