The Knicks owner James Dolan invited Trump to the game, and throughout the night the two were seen seated together in a suite. Trump’s granddaughter, Kai Trump, was also there, standing near him as he endured a wave of boos during the national anthem.

After the first half, the White House released a full list of guests who joined Trump in the suite. The names included Vanessa Trump, Kai Trump’s mother and the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr.; U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff; EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin; White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino; Interior Secretary Doug Burgum; Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy; and White House Communications Director Steven Cheung.

The suite guest list also expanded beyond that White House set. Jared Kushner was spotted there, alongside Witkoff—an inclusion that drew attention because both men have been leading the Trump administration’s peace negotiations with Iran.

More officials appeared on the arena floor as well. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick watched the game from his courtside seat. At halftime, he moved into Trump’s suite to join the rest of the administration officials.

One media-reported walkthrough of who was visible in the suite included additional names: Jim Dolan. Chris Dolan. Kai Trump. Vanessa Trump. Amb. Steve Witkoff, Admin. Lee Zeldin, Boris Epshteyn, Dan Scavino, Erin Scavino, Sec. Doug Burgum, Sec. Sean Duffy, Michael Boulos, Steven Cheung, Walt, and later sightings also mentioned Walt Nauta, Boris Epshteyn, and Natalie Harp.

The picture at MSG was plain enough even for people just passing through: for a night built around basketball. Trump’s suite became a crowded. highly specific roster of family members and top officials—assembled in the same place and time. whether they were focused on the roar from the stands or the work awaiting them after the game.

  1. I saw the boos thing and I was like, dang people really hate him at the Garden. But the guest list is also kinda funny like why is the EPA guy even there.

  2. Wait, I thought Jared Kushner was not in the mix anymore? Or maybe that’s just for Iran talks or whatever. Also Kai Trump standing near him during the anthem… like is she supposed to do that or was it like a security thing? The whole article reads like a family reunion + negotiations + basketball and I’m confused.

  3. Does anyone else think it’s weird they keep releasing guest lists like it’s some official document? Like “cabinet snapshot” sounds cool but also kinda culty? And then it’s MSG so it’s not even like it’s a government building. I don’t know, I guess entertainment is just politics with better seats.
