Ohio State vs. Texas: All the 2027 NFL Draft prospects in star-studded affair

Ohio State is set to visit Texas on Saturday night, and multiple guys who will be playing on Sundays in the future will be on display.
The biggest game of Week 2 in College Football is between Texas and Ohio State. It will be a star-studded affair, highlighted by Ohio State receiver Jeremiah Smith and Texas receiver Cam Coleman.
In recent years, multiple players have come out of Ohio State and Texas Tech, heading to the NFL. In 2024, Ohio State had four players drafted into the NFL while Texas had 11. The next year, it was a combined 26 players from the two schools, with 14 from Ohio State and 12 from Texas. Last year, it was 11 players from the Buckeyes and six from the Longhorns who were drafted into the NFL.
In this game, multiple future NFL players will be taking the stage, and many of them will be hearing their names called in the 2027 NFL Draft.
Ohio State 2027 NFL Draft prospects
Jeremiah Smith (WR)- Jeremiah Smith may be the top prospect in the 2027 NFL Draft. In his first two seasons, he has hauled in 163 receptions for 2,558 yards and 27 touchdowns. Smith started the 2026 campaign strong, bringing in eight receptions on nine targets for 151 yards and two touchdowns. Smith has been a two-time Big Ten Receiver of the Year, a Biletnikoff finalist, and a unanimous All-American. Now, the receiver is aiming to be the first receiver selected first overall since 1996.
Julian Sayin (QB)- Julian Sayin has a lot to prove this season if he wants to be a first-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft. It is not for lack of skill, but the 2027 draft class is loaded at quarterback. With players such as Arch Manning, Dante Moore, Sam Leavitt, Darian Mensah, CJ Carr, Brendan Sorsby, and John Mateer as all possible top quarterbacks, Sayin could wait a year and come out for 2027. Regardless, the 2025 Heisman candidate is one of the most accurate passers, completing 77 percent of his passes this year. He also got started hot, going 21 of 25 for 320 yards and three touchdowns.
Austin Siereveld (OT)- Siereveld was named a second-team All-Big Ten player in 2025, while also starting over the last two years. He was a guard to begin with and has also played tackle. His versatility will be one of the more exciting aspects of drafting Siereveld. Still, it is his pass protection that is the best. He did not allow a sack across 14 starts at left tackle last year. If he can keep that streak going against a strong Texas defense, his draft stock could rise.
Terry Moore (S)- Moore is replacing Caleb Downs at the safety spot for Ohio State. He broke out for Duke in 2024, tacking up 71 tackles with five pass breakups and a sack. He also forced two fumbles while intercepting four passes. The safety was injured in the bowl game in 2024, tearing his ACL, and missed all of 2025. He had just one tackle in his first game, but if Moore can regain his form from 2024, he could be a pick worth watching in the next NFL Draft.
Kenyatta Jackson (DE)- Kenyatta Jackson could be one of the best edge rushers in the 2027 NFL Draft. In 2025, he played 14 games, racking up 28 tackles and 6.5 sacks. He was a potential 2026 NFL Draft pick but decided to return to school. Jackson started the season with a solid game, racking up eight pressures and six hurries against Ball State. Last year, he had two hurries against Texas, and if he can improve on that, he could set himself up to be the top pass rusher of the board in 2027.
Luke Montgomery (OG)- Luke Montgomery started his college career at tackle and moved to guard in 2024. Versatility is an attractive factor for Montgomery, but it has become clear he is a better fit at guard. He is a solid run-blocking guard that will likely be a second-day pick. The guard is also highly disciplined, with just two penalties in 837 snaps last year.
Texas 2027 NFL Draft prospects

Arch Manning (QB)- Arch Manning could end up being the number one player taken in the 2027 NFL Draft. It is not just the name and royal quarterback bloodline, but his skill. He passed for 3,163 yards and 26 touchdowns, while running for 399 yards and ten touchdowns. He started the season strong, with 305 yards and four touchdowns. Manning did throw an interception late in the day to put a damper on an otherwise perfect day. Last year, he passed for just 170 yards with a touchdown and an interception against Ohio State. If he improves on that, Manning could solidify himself as one of the top quarterbacks.
Colin Simmons (LB)- This could be a massive game for Simmons, who will be on the field at the same time as another top edge rusher in the 2027 NFL Draft. Simmons had 59 pressures last season, while racking up 12 sacks. Over two years, he had 91 tackles, with four pass breakups, 21 sacks, and six forced fumbles. In his first game of the year, he had three pressures while also recovering a fumble.
Trevor Goosby (OT)- Trevor Goosby was a first-team All-SEC player last year and could be a first-round pick. He opened the season with a bone bruise in fall camp, but is getting healthier. He is one of the best pass blockers in the class and has great speed and athleticism. Goosby has spent most of his time in college protecting the blindside of Manning, and his skills will translate well to the next level.
Cam Coleman (WR)- The Cam Coleman debut with Texas was stellar, with three catches for 70 yards and two touchdowns. He had 93 catches for 1,306 yards and 13 touchdowns in his two years at Auburn. Coleman is a solid intermediate threat with red zone upside. If he can prove to be able to stretch the field more and use his athleticism in all situations, Coleman could move into a Day 1 pick.
Ryan Wingo (WR)- While Coleman is the star receiver, Ryan Wingo will be heading his name in the 2027 NFL Draft as well. He opened up with seven catches for 121 yards and a touchdown in the opener. In his prior two years with the team, he brought in 83 receptions for 1,306 yards and nine scores. He is also averaging nearly 16 yards per reception. Wingo is explosive with great catch and run ability, which could be very attractive.
Rasheem Biles (LB) – Biles began his career with Texas in stellar fashion. He had five tackles with a forced fumble, fumble recovery, and interception. The Pitt transfer has 181 tackles with 13 sacks, three forced fumbles nd three interceptions in the last two years. Now, his goal is to prove it against even better competition in the SEC and against Ohio State.
