Justin Moore pauses Riley Green tour over new health concerns

Justin Moore, 42, said he will pause performing on Riley Green’s “Cowboy As It Gets” tour to focus on his health. The move comes before scheduled concerts in Dewey Beach, Delaware on June 11 and 12, and with a last planned show on Nov. 26 in Montgomery, Alabam

Justin Moore knew he had to step back before the tour calendar could carry him further.

On June 8, the country singer, 42, posted on Instagram that he is pausing performances on Riley Green’s “Cowboy As It Gets” tour to “take some time to focus on my health.” He did not say how long the hiatus would last, but he made clear the next run of shows could not continue as scheduled.

“I’ll be stepping away from touring for a short period and will be unable to perform some upcoming shows. This is the right decision for me and my family. and I appreciate everyone’s understanding and support. ” Moore wrote in the statement shared on Instagram. He added that he plans to return “later this summer and doing what I love most.”.

The Arkansas native’s announcement landed just ahead of two concerts in Dewey Beach, Delaware, initially set for June 11 and 12. His schedule also extended well beyond those dates. with additional planned performances through the fall. including a final show listed for Nov. 26 in Montgomery, Alabama.

Moore’s break places him among a growing number of country artists choosing not to tour through 2026. Other acts, from Meghan Patrick to Chase Rice, have confirmed they will no longer tour this year for different reasons—ranging from exhaustion to the decision to spend time with family.

The timing also echoes a broader, more personal reckoning inside the touring world. Last month. Taylor Holder. 28. apologized to fans for canceling his upcoming When No One’s Around tour. saying he needed to prioritize his mental health. In a May 12 Instagram post. Holder wrote that he “can no longer ignore” the toll touring had taken on his mental health. adding: “I’ve tried for a while now to put my head down and just push through this and give everything I have to the music and the people who support me. but truthfully. I’ve reached my limit right now and I need to take a step back and focus on getting healthy.”.

For Moore. the decision is already reshaping near-term plans—first in Dewey Beach. then across the upcoming portion of Riley Green’s tour dates he will no longer be able to perform. With his last scheduled appearance on Nov. 26 in Montgomery. Alabama. the question now is how quickly “later this summer” can become reality—both physically and for the people who were counting on seeing him onstage.
