Alexis McAdams tried to keep her footing in the middle of a protest at an ICE facility in New Jersey—until the confrontation slipped out of her control.
The exchange aired on Fox News on Tuesday and was sparked when McAdams confronted a protester for their “dirty mouth.” As the segment continued. the protester answered with the kind of language that derails broadcasts in seconds—calling McAdams a “bitch” and accusing her of being a “Nazi bitch. ” while also slamming the ICE facility as “a concentration camp.”.
McAdams said on air, “There’s people like this,” before placing her hand on the protester’s shoulder. She continued: “You are a protester who has been out here, and you have a dirty mouth.”
She went on to describe what the experience is like for her during these demonstrations. “So, that’s just what we deal with. So. just for people that want to know what it’s like to cover these protests. it’s constant with this. This is what these people do. They want people who are in this country illegally to be released out onto the streets. DHS says that’s what they’re gonna not be doing.”.
But the protester kept pressing the attack. While McAdams continued speaking, the protester repeatedly berated her, returning to the insults and the “Nazi bitch” accusation as the segment unfolded.
The clip spread quickly. At the time of publishing, one version of the exchange had already generated more than 700,000 views. It also split internet audiences right down the middle—some defended the protester’s performance, while others focused on McAdams’ approach.
One critic wrote on X, “Good journalists are not supposed to make the story about themselves. She lost control of that report when she made that comment to the protester.” Another user questioned the physical contact. asking. “Why is the reporter putting her hands on that person?” A third summed up the moment with blunt internet satisfaction: “That protester wins the Internet for the day.”.
Not everyone sided against McAdams, though. Joe Concha, a Fox News peer, posted on X praising her work, writing, “@AlexisMcAdamsTV is one of the best we have at Fox News. Fearless and never stops working.”
Aishah Hasnie, Fox News’ White House correspondent, also chimed in with support, describing McAdams as her “fearless” little sister.
After the clip went viral, McAdams responded on X with a brief line that matched the reality of her day: “Another day, another protest.”
