Donald Trump to jet in for college football showdown between Alabama and Georgia ahead of crunch midterm elections

Donald Trump has revealed that he will be among the crowd for next weekend’s college football showdown between Georgia and Alabama.

The president announced during a campaign rally in Mobile on Friday night that he will be in Tuscaloosa for a matchup of two of college football’s biggest teams.

No 2-ranked Georgia head to Bryant-Denny Stadium to face No 7-ranked Alabama on Saturday, October 10.

‘I’ll be here again. Next Saturday to watch a football game between Georgia and Alabama,’ he said. ‘They say it’s going to be a good game. I would think so.’

The announcement comes just days after Trump attended Texas’ win over Tennessee in Knoxville.

The president was given a raucous reception by the 101,000-strong crowd at Neyland Stadium before Arch Manning led Texas to victory.

He took his seat alongside prominent political ally and Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn after Air Force One had treated fans to a flyover above Neyland Stadium.

The following day, Trump jetted in to Medinah Country Club outside Chicago to see the US snatch a dramatic victory in the Presidents Cup.
