DHS says Rosie O’Donnell’s ‘disgusting’ ICE claims fuel violent attacks on officers amid migrant crisis
Rosie O’Donnell is facing backlash from the Department of Homeland Security due to her claims in a TikTok titled “Friday Ramble.”
In the clip, she criticized President Donald Trump’s administration and compared current immigration enforcement to fascism.
“We’re making concentration camps. … We’re rounding up people without a warrant. We’re r***** children in detention, in ICE detention. They’re all getting pregnant,” she said.
She questioned how officials could protect girls held separately from male detainees and asked, “Who has access to those girls? What happens to their babies? What do they do with them? There are big questions.”

A DHS spokesman rejected O’Donnell’s allegations in a statement to Fox News Digital and accused her comments of contributing to threats against immigration officers.
“These disgusting, reckless and categorically FALSE smears are directly contributing to our officers facing a 1,300% increase in assaults, a 3,300% increase in vehicular attacks and an 8,000% increase in death threats against them,” the spokesman said.
The representative also accused O’Donnell of ignoring an alleged humanitarian crisis under the Biden administration, claiming that hundreds of thousands of children faced exploitation, trafficking and disappearance under former President Joe Biden.
DHS is now reportedly focusing on locating unaccompanied children who entered the country during Biden’s term.
The official also made personal attacks against the comedian, saying “Sadly, the extremely unstable, TDS-suffering lunatic Rosie O’Donnell — who fled the country in protest of President Trump’s historic, landslide re-election — would rather spin fake news that benefits the traffickers, smugglers and r****** than acknowledge the nightmare so many children lived under Democrat control.”
DHS also defended its officers and cited a figure that 80% of Americans support the arrest and deportation of criminal illegal aliens.
DHS disputed allegations about conditions inside ICE detention centers
Moreover, the department also rejected O’Donnell’s assertion of poor conditions inside ICE facilities.
“Claims that there are subprime conditions at ICE detention centers are FALSE,” the spokesman said, adding that ICE facilities have higher detention standards than most U.S. prisons.
The DHS official further said that detainees receive medical, dental and mental health care, along with emergency treatment when needed.
Addressing O’Donnell’s statement about pregnant detainees, the spokesman added, “Pregnancy in ICE detention is exceedingly rare, making up 0.15% of all illegal aliens currently in custody, as of June 30.”
The representative also shared that pregnant women receive prenatal visits, mental health services, nutritional support and postpartum care while in custody.
