All Blacks Thrash Wallabies 43-21 to Complete Bledisloe Cup Clean Sweep

The All Blacks secured a comprehensive 43-21 victory over the Wallabies to complete a Bledisloe Cup clean sweep, dominating the first half before sealing the win ahead of their Northern Tour.

The All Blacks delivered a dominant performance to defeat the Wallabies 43-21, completing a clean sweep of the Bledisloe Cup series. Following their victory the previous weekend at Eden Park, the visitors maintained their high intensity from the opening whistle.

The match was effectively decided in a lopsided first half as the All Blacks stormed to a 36-7 lead by halftime, crossing the try line six times against minimal defensive resistance. Fabian Holland set up an early scoring sequence with a lineout steal, allowing Damian McKenzie to link up with Will Jordan and Ioane for the opening try on the left wing. Jeremy Williams later put the Wallabies on the scoreboard by finishing an 11-phase attack, though Williams was sent to the sin bin moments later for a cynical offside penalty.

Wallace Sititi capitalized on a subsequent penalty by picking the ball from a 31st-minute scrum to score the team’s fifth try. Fullback Beauden Barrett capped off the dominant opening period by intercepting a pass from Max Jorgensen and running 70 metres for his 48th international try. Moorby extended the lead shortly after the restart with his second try of the Test.

The All Blacks adjusted their lineup prior to kickoff following a late withdrawal by Jordie Barrett due to a tight calf muscle, while Timoci Tavatavanawai made his first Test start of the year. The Wallabies mounted a much-improved second-half display, winning the half 14-7 through tries from Tom Wright and a spirited response, though late injuries to Shannon Frizell and replacement hooker Samisoni Taukei’aho left the visitors to finish the match with 14 men.

The fixture marked the All Blacks’ final Test match before heading to the Northern Hemisphere for an end-of-year tour that begins against Scotland at Murrayfield on November 8.
